City of The Historic Downtown of Helena, Montana is a central hub for many businesses, and parking is limited. Jackson Street Parking Structure is designed to relieve this stress. During the Public Visioning Process, the local community expressed the desire for the parking structure to blend with the surrounding commercial structures built in the late 1800’s. The design for Jackson Street Parking Structure draws from the granite, sandstone, and brick facades to create a sense of human scale that is often lacking in parking structures. The advantages of pre-cast, pre-stress and architectural pre-cast concrete provides an unprecedented creative design tool to achieve structural and historic character on a challenging site. Parking for 186 vehicles on three levels.
